Abstract
:
The American Civil War is brought to life through the personal and horrifying accounts of soldiers from both sides of the conflict. Fields of Valour: The Civil War chronicles the epic struggle for the fate of the nation in a four-part series that follows two proud regiments, one from Massachusetts and one from Virginia. By paralleling personal stories through letters, diaries and reminiscences from soldiers in these two regiments, we reveal the soldiers' heroism, agony and determination as each side fought for cause and country to the bitter end.
